Men's Artistic Gymnastics Competitive Program
The MAG Competitive program will focus on routine based skills from the Australian Levels Program, with boys given the opportunity to compete in club based competition, as well as State-wide events. These programs will continue with an emphasis on strength and flexibility, but will work on perfecting skills required to enter routine based competitions. Boys will continue with work on acrobatic elements and aerial awareness on trampolines.
Entry into our competitive teams is by selection only. Boys are continually being assessed by our instructors, evaluating suitable gymnasts to enter our Competitive programs.
Our boys Competitive programs follow the Australian Levels manual, with boys able to compete from levels 1 to 10. Boys in this program are expected to compete in competitions designated by the boys program coordinator.
Boys will continue working on core strength suitable for their age as well as flexibility, which will involve stretching. When a boy is accepted into our CT program, they are expected to commit to the full program as set by their coach.
Boys will be expected to have a basic training uniform. As boys progress through the levels, High bar and Ring Guards may become necessary.
If your child vacates their position within a CT program, they will need to be reassessed prior to being accepted back into the program.
